Natasha Rodgers

Hello, I am a 4th year student at IT Sligo studying a BA hons in Performance Art. I am on the Design strand of the course which involves everything concerning theatre design and production.

I was born and grew up in Hamptead, London and moved to Ireland in 2000 as my family are originally from Tyrone and Donegal. In London I acheived a BTEC National Diploma in Design & Communications at City & Islington college in 1997. I graduated with a HND (Higher National Diploma) in Media Design at Thames Valley University in 1999. In Ireland I have done a FETAC L5 in Organic Horticulture in 2008 and a L5 in Traditional Irish Music in Drumshambo college in 2012. I have also done a L5 on an outdoor pursuits course at Lough Allen Adventure centre.

I live in Northern Ireland where I have worked as a coach driver for Millenium Travels, Co.Derry, touring all over England, Ireland Scotland and Wales. As I love to travel this was an ideal job for me at the time.

Through this course I have be able to work within the Arts industry and when I graduate I hope to continue participating in this area. My other interests and hobbies include; photography, film-making, art and drama, dance, playing music, cycling, hillwalking, gardening and cookery.
