Natasha R. Pooran

Natasha R. Pooran is an attorney focusing on criminal law. She has a BA in Criminal Justice and another in English from the University of Albany, where she graduated with honors. Her study of criminal justice lead her to pursue a career as a criminal prosecutor. To that end, she attended CUNY School of Law in hopes of becoming a prosecutor. There, she founded an organization dedicated for students pursuing careers in public service. She interned at the Queens District Attorney's Office and the Kings County District Attorney's Office and accepted a position at the Queens District Attorney's Office after law school. She serves on the board of the New York State Bar Association Criminal Justice Section. She has published scholarly works and legal articles, including one through the state bar, on the Fourth Amendment, with Judge Barry Kamins. Her hobbies include film and television, writing, theology, and ancient civilizations.
