Natalya Posukhova

I was born and grew up in Ukraine. During my childhood I spent 5 years in Russia, quite close to the polar circle, with bears and snow and absolute absence of trees. At the age of 11 me and my family moved to Cologne in Germany, where I still live. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design in Düsseldorf this summer and work on commission since then.

During my years at college I of course studied graphic design and communication theory and I have been lucky to be part of interesting projects but my heart is dedicated to illustration. Over the last few years I worked on several projects that would place me as an illustrator somewhere between fairy-tales and Tim Burton's poetry. I love the dark side of my characters. Working mostly in black and white I try to create detailed and fantastic worlds that very much encourage the colorful imagination of the viewers.
