Natacha P. Gougeon

I am the odd one in my family: traditional in an unconventional sort of way. On the one hand: I like order and patterns. On the other hand: I like to wait for whatever randomness comes next just to see if I can deal, if I can make it make sense. I think too much. So I step out of my comfort zone and do things I know I can only accomplish if I don’t think at all. Things like jumping over fire or climbing an impossibly tall wall or sharing my writing with strangers. Calculated risks. I am woman, wife, mother, sister, friend. I am an acquaintance, a neighbor, a stranger. I am the lady you see everyday, passing by your house, walking her ginormous, black dog. One day you’ll ask me what kind he is and we’ll have that connection. Curious, kind, kooky, quiet, predictable, surprising, human. I could ramble on but you get the idea.

I am currently pursuing a creative writing certificate with the university of Calgary. I’ve already earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from McGill university and I have a certificate in international trade. So what have I been doing for the last eight years? Taking care of my two kids, my husband and our dog. It has been the most rewarding job I have ever had.

Can't get enough of me? Check out The Natcatpg blog where I create stories using random words. It's weird and it's raw and it's so satisfying!
