My name is Nate McCormick, and I am very excited about my life today. I have begun my journey toward fulfilling my dream of a career in baseball, and I feel I am qualified for such a career. My experience as a business student in my junior year at the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame makes me an ideal candidate for any business internship at the organization. Communication skills are also a strong suit of mine, allowing for the possibility of non-business internships as well, such as broadcasting. My accounting major plus my minor in entrepreneurship means that I am committed to a wide range of internships. Furthermore, my experience as a Transportation Operations Intern at Fremont Contract Carriers sets me apart from other applicants, due to a real life business experience.

My three years in the Mendoza College of Business and my previous business experience have given me a solid foundation for this internship. I am comfortable performing a vast range of communication techniques and other business decisions. I am eager to contribute my enthusiasm and skills to the Somerset Patriots and to grow in an internship position.

As far as baseball is concerned, I am very experienced. I have played baseball since I was 5 years old. I was a three-time Legion All-Star in high school, and an assistant coach the past two years. I even was in charge of field maintenance for three years, chalking, dragging, weeding, and keeping the field in pristine condition. I am dedicated to a career in any aspect of baseball.

To be brutally honest, I would love any baseball internship in the world. I would love an opportunity to help a team accomplish its goals. I do not care if my internship ends up being in Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, HR, Audit, Field Maintenance, Security or any specific field. Baseball and the business behind it, in general, interest me. I want to help Somerset to be successful, much like Somerset wants to be successful themselves, and I am willing to do whatever work is necessary. I will travel, I will make tough phone calls, I will work late, and I will come in early. All I need is a chance.
