Listen to my music

Hey!

My name is Nate Williams, and I am a student studying RTA Media Production at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.

I study the greats; Dave Chappelle, Kanye West, and LeBron James, all in the pursuit of fostering a higher appreciation of my beloved crafts.

Then again, this may just be my fun way of letting you know the three arts I live for: stand-up comedy, music, and basketball. When considering a career path in these fields, my primary focus leans toward aspects of their promotion.

In my hometown of Georgetown, Ontario, when it came to music & design, I was somewhat of a "big fish in a small pond". What began as creating custom t-shirts and Snapchat filters for high school events, quickly evolved into producing album covers and the mildly successful podcast, "Camp Hip Hop".

Through my four years at Ryerson, I have cultivated the skills necessary to the streams of media writing and music production. The prospects of trying my hand at stand-up comedy, or writing music excites me, and to achieve either of these professions would be a dream.

These days, I'm working on the Fake Avenue Music Festival, a virtual concert series looking to highlight local acts from across the Greater Toronto Area. Presented through an easily accessible video game environment, my aim is to showcase the multitude of ways in which artists can be promoted.

As we await its launch, I will be releasing a weekly playlist on Spotify, emphasizing festival acts, and intermixing their songs with more prominent tracks.
