Nate Cozens

Director, Writer, and Teaching Artist in New York City

Nate Cozens (he/him) is a Filipino-American director and writer. He is currently revising his full-length play Debut: Coming of Age in Filipino America with Undiscovered Countries.

Other projects include directing Banana at The Provincetown Theater, I Like It Rough, a short play in National Queer Theatre's Kinky Pint-Sized Plays, producing a one-woman song cycle titled From A Distance at the New York International Fringe Festival, and directing and co-producing the NYC premiere of Poor Boys' Chorus at the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival. He holds a BA in Theatre and Dance from The University of Texas at Austin.

Nate is also an experienced teaching artist and has created a variety of learning experiences for both students and teachers with Roundabout Theatre Company in NYC and ZACH Theatre in Austin, TX.
