Nate
Game Designer, Quest Designer, and Item Designer
Hi, I’m Nate,
I’ve been designing with certain interests in Video Game Design. I have played around with engines such as Noggit to create custom maps for World of Warcraft.
I’ve started my journey in Game Design when messing around with 3.3.5a Wrath of The Lich King clients and cores. I discovered TrinityCreator, an easy and simple to use tool to create NPC’s, items, and quests.
Recently, I’ve gotten into map building by using Noggit, and I learned a lot more about World of Warcrafts MPQ patches and the data inside those patches. I’ve made a kingdom that supports two hubs, the Town with the entrance, which has many buildings such as houses, and guard tower. Then the main Kingdom, the terrain goes up as a hill like shape up into the Kingdom. The Kingdom has walls guarding the interior, and has buildings such as a Barrack, Chapel, Training Grounds, Guard Towers, etc. It was then filled with NPC’s to fill the lonely Kingdom. These NPC’s have actions such as hitting Target Dummies, and some NPC’s even have their own pathing around the Kingdom. The Kingdom even has its own Custom NPC’s using models from the patch.mpq Database.
Here's some screenshots of one of my recent builds that I'm currently working on.
Here's also two quest design's I have made, one with just text, and one with rewards.
I've now been using these applications for a while now to help shape my own world:
- Noggit
- TrinityCreator
- HeidiSQL
- WDBX Editor
- MPQEditor
