Nathan Garries, CFP®, EPC®, CIWM®, FCSI® is a Certified Financial Planner with Beyond Business Financial Solutions. He has over two decades of experience in the finance industry. Nathan earned Canada’s highest award for financial advisors as well as numerous prestigious fellowships. He is a third-generation member of his family to pursue finance as a career.
Nathan works with his clients to provide an accurate picture of their finances and their current financial future in order to draw up realistic and attainable financial plans. One of his favorite quotes is by Bill Bachrach. The quote sums up Nathan’s feelings about his duty to his clients: "The Trusted advisor tells the truth, even if it means risking the relationship."
Nathan’s belief that his clients deserve the most comprehensive and up-to-date information in the industry drives his commitment to professional education in his field. He has put countless hours of work toward furthering his education in financial planning and continues to do so. Education is an ongoing process, especially in the ever-evolving world of financial planning. As such, Nathan is currently working on earning the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation.
As a result of his commitment to professional development, Nathan holds the following designations: Certified Financial Planner designation, Elder Planning Counselor designation, and Certified International Wealth Management designation. These designations represent his dedication to professional growth in order to better serve the needs of his clients.

Before moving to Beyond Business Financial Solutions, Nathan cut his teeth at TD Bank when they were merging with Canada Trust and he also worked for a division of Canada Life called Freedom 55. These are the places where Nathan really learned the ins and outs of financial planning. The lessons he learned at those institutions guide his practice today.
Nathan enjoys creating memories with his wife of nearly 20 years and their two boys in his free time. They are a very active, sports-oriented family. When he isn’t attending one of their boy’s sporting events or working, Nathan enjoys going to the lake, golfing, and playing hockey.
