I am a junior at Umass Amherst studying Operations and Information Management within Isenberg school of Management. I will be graduating in 2015 and continueing on to pursue an graduate school education in environmental sustainability and sustainable business. This goes along with a passion of mine that has driven me into the business field. I believe in a better business world made up of corperations who strive for environmental sustainability, income equality, and improvements in society. Quarterly earnings can be important for investors but when examining the long term value of a company, its mission is absolutely key. I believe companies with good intentions and better practices will become dominant in the marketplace of tomorrow. With all the problems going on in the world around us, it is important to step back and see what we can do to improve our planet. Global warming is real and pollution is a cause of it, we need stronger motivation for clean, sustainable business practices. I believe wholeheartedly that sustainability is the only way of the future.
