What do you want to be when you "grow up" and why?
I want to be a veterinarian and work with small and large animals. I love animals, and I love science and medicine, so this seemed like the perfect fit for me.
Why did you choose WSU?
I chose WSU because I wanted to be a part of the "cougar community" that everyone talks about. Once I got here I realized it was a real thing.
What was your first day of classes like?
My first day of classes was a little intimidating as I was taking a heavy course load, but I quickly learned to time manage and keep a planner to keep track of my hectic schedule.
What advice do you have for new students?
Make sure you find your class rooms before classes actually start. It doesn't look good to walk in to your first class of the semester ten minutes late because you were lost. Also, branch out, enjoy yourself, and get involved. College is a time for you to expand your horizons and find what you truely love to do.
What advice do you have for new Cougar parents?
Be supportive and encouraging. Several times my first year at WSU I had to call home because I was too stressed and feeling overwhelmed from course work and just being on my own. Calling home and talking to my parents was always the best resource that I had my freshman year.
