Believing that change cannot occur unless one is equipped with the tools necessary to speak out, Nathan Leal devoted the majority of his time teaching speech and debate. After receiving a full ride debate scholarship to represent Wiley College, Nathan was able to exercise community-based planning, project management and policy development. His success is what allowed him to engage in both politics in his community, and domestically as well. Though Nathan is a full time student, he still teaches his students at home about current events, public speaking, and how to inspire change themselves.
