Hello and welcome to my page! I'm glad you took the time to stop by and hope you enjoy. Here's a little about me: I am currently a student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst studying Industrial Engineering, with a minor in Engineering Managment. My interests are in manufacturing and supply chains. In projects I try to bring 100% of my focus and energy to the table. I believe if something is worth doing it will be challenging and should be given 110% effort. I have experience in the engineering field as a design engineer intern, designing parts for steam turbines.
Some of the projects I've completed include economic analysis of plant locations, simulation of stresses on parts, and optimization of facility flow. Currently I am completing a thesis for honors credit at the University of Massachusetts. The thesis is focused on optimizing the evacuation routes in a building using network modelling. My goal is to analyze and model a facilty and then determine the fastest exit routes assuming the system is at max capacity.
Outside of my career interests I like to mountain bike, golf, ski and snowshoe. As you can see from my background I also grew up haying and have a love of the outdoors and haying. My other interests include cars and investing. Growing up I loved working with my hands to dissassemble and reassemble many of my toys, both to learn how they work and to emulate my father's skills. Through this I developed an intense desire of learning and creating. Hence my interest in teaching myself finance and designing manufacturing processes to create new consumer goods.
