Nathanael Hill
Japan
Founder Fluentli, Tweet Speak English, and LeafOut.
I have lived in Japan since 2006. Originally from Texas, I struggle daily with the lack of delicious tacos and burritos.
I love (other than tex-mex):
- My wife and two beautiful kids
- Simple design that communicates effectively
- Hearing and thinking about innovative solutions that bring real value to our lives
- Starting new projects, or helping others start theirs
- That moment in a creative process when flow takes over and makes time slip away (it's the only time I don't miss tex-mex)
- When the parts of the whole come together perfectly to create something wonderful (whether that's in music, art, a story, or an app)
Current Projects:
- Fluentli - A Q&A community specifically tailored for language learners to learn how to communicate effectively.
- LeafOut - An app that gives your thoughts, notes, and social posts that are scattered all over your phone a single place to come together - to leaf out - so you can see can explore your past.
- TweetSpeakEnglish - An online EFL education platform that teaches students natural English found on Twitter.
