I have lived in Japan since 2006. Originally from Texas, I struggle daily with the lack of delicious tacos and burritos.

I love (other than tex-mex):

My wife and two beautiful kids
Simple design that communicates effectively
Hearing and thinking about innovative solutions that bring real value to our lives
Starting new projects, or helping others start theirs
That moment in a creative process when flow takes over and makes time slip away (it's the only time I don't miss tex-mex)
When the parts of the whole come together perfectly to create something wonderful (whether that's in music, art, a story, or an app)

Fluentli - A Q&A community specifically tailored for language learners to learn how to communicate effectively.
LeafOut - An app that gives your thoughts, notes, and social posts that are scattered all over your phone a single place to come together - to leaf out - so you can see can explore your past.
TweetSpeakEnglish - An online EFL education platform that teaches students natural English found on Twitter.
