Growing up in the heart of Minnesota, school wasn't really my thing. Failure upon failure, I graduated on time from high school in 2006. Confused with life, I took a year off to focus on myself. I quit my 3 year stretch at Subway, only to start working at Pete's County Market and Perkins.
I eventually went back to school in the fall of 2007 at Alexandria Technical College for a degree - Certified Cisco Network Associate. I spent the first semester trying to figure out why I hated school so much, then I realized what the problem was... school is too slow with not enough hands on experience.
On January 1st, 2008, I made a decision that would change my life forever. I moved to Seattle with my father, Mark and joined the Laborers Union #440. For 7 months, I built forms, poured concrete, and ultimately, built the Beacon Hill Lightrail Station.
I knew there was an easier way to make money, so I packed my things and went back home to Minnesota. After a year of dwindling away in my hometown, I made yet another life altering decision. One fine August day in 2009, I moved to Florida, where the story truly begins.
The first thing I did when I arrived in Florida was get a j-o-b. Subway seemed to be the easiest target while job hunting so... you guessed it, I was hired and Within 2 months, I became the manager of the store.
The best thing about working at Subway has to be all of the people one gets to meet. It was in this way that I met the man who made it possible for me to be where I am today, Donnie Cooper. For 3 years, I learned alongside Donnie honing my online marketing skills and building relationships. One of these relationships, Allan Branch, lead me to LessConf and again, sent me down a completely different life path.
The realization that I myself had become complacent was a scary reality, yet one I needed to face. I was no longer satisfied with myself, and with the support of many family and friends, I've started a business with my business partner, Jesse Peterson.
From this day forward, I am doing what it takes to be the best me - for myself, my clients, and everyone around me.
