Nathan Grange
I have now racked thirteen years experience in the food service industry. My first eight years were spent as a chef, cracking hundreds of eggs in my first year apprenticeship and again in my last year as Head Chef of Finks cafe at Clovelly. It's been nearly six years now since I officially hung up my apron, though it comes out a lot in the demonstrations I do as a food service equipment salesman.
Since late 2011, I have been a sales rep for Maurice Kemp & Associates (MKA), an importer and distributor of high quality foodservice equipment. My job is to promote the business and find the right products to meet my customer's needs. Day to day and week to week, my travels as a salesman cover NSW and the ACT, but I also represent MKA at food equipment trade shows in Australia and internationally.
Now I am established at MKA, I've decided it's time to share the knowledge I have from both sides of the bench, the things I learn about on the road and connect people in the food service industry through a blog page: Travels of a Salesman http://nathangrange.wordpress.com. It's a personal and professional journal of my movements with MKA. You can also find out what MKA and I are up to through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Flickr.
