Nathan Cohen
I began performing at my Georgia hometown theater at the ripe old age of six. As I got older, I felt I wasn’'t being offered enough opportunities in theater, so I created them myself. I co-founded Community Entertainment, a local theatre company, and used it to hone my skills as a director and choreographer. I directed several musicals over the next few years, including Sleeping Beauty and Rodger’s and Hammerstein’'s classic Cinderella, and directed and choreographed two musical revues, Back to the 80's and Disco Inferno. After high school, I was ready to focus all my efforts on my craft. I moved to Valdosta, Georgia and enrolled in the BFA Theater program at Valdosta State University with an emphasis in Musical Theatre. I'’ve performed in several shows such as Sweet Charity, Damn Yankees, and Romeo and Juliet. I'’ve also worked with Peach State Summer Theatre where I served as Box Office Manager one year and performed in the musicals The Jungle Book, Carousel, and the Broadway hit Hairspray the following year. I recently earned my first NYC credit assistant directing and choreographing Roadside at The York Theatre Company-Off Broadway. When I’'m not on stage, I love to study dance, play with my rabbit Manny, and sing my way through car trips. I'’m also terrified of clowns, but it’'s only because they’'re weird.
