Natalia Lopez

Natalia Lopez is an emerging Raleigh-based visual artist born and raised in Queens, New York. Her practice is heavily motivated by a desire to explore relationships amongst busy and chaotic visual elements. Her paintings, drawings, and collages are expressive, incorporate gestural line work, and include a mix of the figure, objects of personal significance, abstract forms, and text.

Her work is highly influenced by her experience as a second generation Colombian American raised in Queens, New York. She is an active participant and member of the Raleigh-based art community and is currently a Diamante Arts Leadership Institute (DALI) fellow, based out of the Diamante Arts & Cultural Center.
