Fatema Baheranwala

Hello, I am Fatema. I am an environmentalist originally from India currently living in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In 2018, I founded NatureCentric, through which I am exploring practical ways to live in environmental and spiritual harmony with nature.

We need new paradigms that can guide us to organize our life and activities in ways that will continue our support our existence on this planet. NatureCentric is a paradigm that sees humans as a part of the intricate web of life and not as above. it.

I am interested in finding practical solutions to live more sustainably on our planet. That means, creating visions and strategies for living within our planetary boundaries, by using local resources as far as possible, working in closed cycles and generating zero waste.

As a systems thinker, I use a holistic approach and am interested in painting visions of the future with broad brush strokes where others can fill in the details.

I am currently developing the NatureCentric philosophy. This on-going research is based on my own personal spiritual journey.

I also give workshops on growing and using common herbs; and cooking easy and simple plant based meals.
