Naveed Yousafzai

Writer, Editor, and Director in Peshawar, Pakistan

I am an experienced and passionate communications and outreach specialist with extensive skills in designing and implementing communications programs and activities for national and international development organizations. I hold an MSc in Journalism and Mass Communications from Gomal University. My work-related experience spans more than 15 years of communications jobs for USAID, World Bank, and its development projects in Pakistan. My skills include designing and managing communication and outreach strategies, campaigns, websites and social media activities, events, publications, newsletters, media interaction, and many other communications activities. However, my passion rests with identifying and implementing optimal solutions in communications that fit the organization, its goals, and the operating environment. Most notably, I have designed and managed a three-year, USAID’s Civilian Victims Support Program mass media project for USAID/Pakistan that has significantly increased the awareness of U.S. assistance throughout Pakistan. This program was lauded to be the cutting-edge example of effective communications efforts by the U.S. State Department. I have excellent oral and written communications abilities, strong computer skills, and a high sense of responsibility and deadlines. I am also a results-driven team player who believes in creating and producing timely, innovative, market-based communications solutions to contribute to the overall goals of an organization. I have a vivacious personality and a passionate attitude to work that serve to inspire, form, and lead teams to success, and believe that by helping each other, teams can achieve a much higher quality result.
