Navjot McCormack

Navjot McCormack is the Chair of CANTESOL, and an international educator and journalist. Prior to entering the classroom, she spent 26 years as journalist in senior editorial roles with leading English newspapers across several countries. In the newsroom, her responsibilities included schooling young interns on the finer points of journalistic precision; today, she leverages that editorial expertise to hone her students’ linguistic accuracy and critical thinking. This unique background allows her to use the media as a dynamic primary lens, where the common thread of language nuance connects her global newsroom experience to the modern language classroom.
