I am a second year computer science PhD student at UCSB. I work in the Distributed Systems Lab (DSL) under the supervision
of Dr. Divy Agrawal and Dr. Amr El Abbadi. There I tackle problems on geo-replicated databases. Specifically I am interested in
the effect of the large communication latency as a new bottleneck for replicated systems. Prior to joining UCSB I was a member
of the netlab at KAUST working towards my MS degree with Dr. Basem Shihada on the problem of unfairness of wireless mesh
networks.
