Hibah Naz

Hello, Aloha, Shalom, Buenos Diaz and Salam! I am Hibah Naz, a blogger on the verge of becoming a journalist and a creative make-up artist. I spell my name with an 'H' at the end because it is the way it's pronounced in Arabic.

I am a workaholic, bookworm, blogger, and a serious shopaholic – I literally shop till I drop! I like listening to whatever has a good rhythm or tune. Devouring chocolate cakes, making new dresses, and collecting stuff like dolls, keychains, jewelry, and other stuff is what I love to do. I am the daughter of an adventurous and knowledgeable mother, and a wife of a creative and intelligent husband.

I started my career by teaching students at schools and tutoring them at home. I began working professionally in 2011 when I was employed as a content writer for Personality Quotient. Then onwards I became one of the initiators of an organization called, Speak For Change and its media arm 24/7 Online TV. I was the assistant editor of the website, and have had the experience of being able to host and produce different shows on the web channel, 24/7 Online TV.

I used to record vlogs while I worked at Speak For Change some of which went viral. One of my greatest achievements at Speak For Change was a vlog on Senator Aitzaz Ahsan titled, Aitzaz Ahsan Kay Naam Aik Paighaam (A message for Aitzaz Ahsan), when he was representing as the lawyer to Ex-Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani in the Swiss Bank Case. The vlog became popular not only on social media platforms but also on national television where it was played on different channels. I even received calls from anchorpersons requesting me to join them on their talk shows.

I've also been ghost writer for political personalities in Pakistan. My tasks included maintaining their websites, Youtube channels, editing and compiling shows they appeared in, listening to those edited versions, translating them from Urdu to English and composing a blog post. At the end, the posts would be approved by the figure themselves after which I published them on their websites.

Apart from that, I've also written content for a couple of iPhone Applications and handled other tasks such as researching information and collecting data.

I believe in becoming 'a jack of all trades and master of those I'm passionate of', which are becoming a journalist and make-up artists. For now, my future plans are to continue higher education and offer my professional skills to any organizat
