Founded in 2011, Ananasa.com is an online marketplace that enables artisans, artists and designers in the Middle East to sell their creations worldwide with no barriers.

Ananasa.com, is an e-commerce marketplace catering to handmade items from the Middle East and North African region. The online platform continues to evolve with todays infrastructures and is always working on bettering the buyer and seller experience. At present, Ananasa.com is the only e-commerce website that has the bargain feature embedded into their site and is moving towards making e-commerce a bit more fun and inspiring
What started as a small e-commerce site that carried artists from only the MENA region has now expanded into so many different areas across the globe, carrying over 3000 unique stores and over 400 artisans.

Ananasa is really a portal whereby artisans get to share their stories with people from all over the world and get a taste of different areas, areas they may have never even visited before.

And that is why it's called Ananasa (اناناسة):

Ana: means "I" in Arabic

Nas: means "the people" in Arabic

A: adding an a at the end allows the word to become feminine, just like the co-founders.
