Also known as Mr. B, Bonginhlanhla Ncube is an award winning producer. Mr. B. was awarded Best Producing in 2010 for the film "Wrong Call", which he produced and directed with team GR8 for the International 48 Hour Film Project.
Mr. B attained his skills under the training of the North American based film guru, Peter D Marshall. He is listed under the South African Movie Database, IMDB "Internet Movie Database" and is the President of "Passionate Filmmakers Consortium", a community of filmmakers in Pretoria, South Africa. Off-set Mr. B is a husband, father, Church sound engineer and runs a multimedia company called Sukuma Media.
Mr. B recently completed his theatrical release, SAFE BET, an international multi-award winning action comedy flick about 2 lifetime buddies who decide to bet all their boss's money onto a fixed boxing match. His previous TV blockbuster, 48, landed him travelling to Hollywood, Los Angeles, where his film was selected for US premiere screening at the Pan African Film Festival. It would later on snatch an Award presented by the Honolulu Film Awards in Hawaii, United states. The film 48 received 3 nominations at the 2012 Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAAs popularly branded as the "Oscars" of Africa.
Within the corporate arena, Mr. B has successfully produced video work for the Film Publication Board, Department of Trade & Industry, Seda, Automotive Industry Development Centre, Gauteng Growth and Development Agency, South African Local Government Association and Department of Science & Technology / European Union. Mr. B has filmed high profile individuals such as Dr. Rob Davis, Minister of Trade & Industry, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, then Minister of Home Affairs and Deputy Minister of SAPS.
