It's happening. It's happening faster than most people care to believe. The unnatural heating of our planet due to greenhouse gases is a problem that will need to be answered in the near future. Energy attained through natural gas and coal is unsustainable and environmentally harmful. Now is the time to research, develop and implement new forms of renewable energy sources in order to assure the sustainability of our planet.
My name is Nick and I will be apart of the solution. I am a Chemical Engineering major at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an Engineering Management Minor at the Isenberg School of Management. My educational interests include renewable energies, materials, and public speaking. I am not entirely sure what my plans are after undegraduate school. I am split between going to graduate school for materials engineering or attaining an MBA.
Renewable enegies such as photovoltaic cells, biofuel, and thorium are a passion of mine. Using my education in engineering and marketing, I want to develop, market, and integrate cheap, effective forms of renewable energies. Awaring the public of the dangers of global warming is just as important as creating clean energy. I want to be apart of every step of the process - from the research to the development to the marketing.
I want to hear what you have to say about sustainable energy. What are your opinions? How do you suggest the world tackles global warming on a micro and macro scale? Let's talk!
