Nicolas du Cray

Nicolas is deeply involved in the investments done in Greater China by Iris Capital. He is also in charge of supporting the development in China of Iris's portfolio companies.

Nicolas was an Investment Director at Orange Capital (China) between 2008 and 2012, where he was in charge of early-stage investments in Chinese startups.

Prior to that, Nicolas was a Senior Project Manager at Orange Labs Beijing, Orange Group’s research and development center in China, which he joined in 2004 as a starting member. At Orange Labs, Nicolas successfully identified promising Chinese startups and facilitated cooperation projects between them and Orange.

Earlier in his career, Nicolas worked as a Strategic Marketing Analyst at France Telecom Group’s Representative Office in China and as a Marketing Analyst in Mobile Value-Added Services at SchlumbergerSema (now Gemalto). He also held an engineering position in the Arjo Wiggins Appleton Group.

Nicolas holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD (France & Singapore) and Tsinghua University (China), a Master of Science in ICT Management from EMLYON Business School & Centrale Lyon (France) and a Master of Science in Engineering from Grenoble Institute of Technology (France).
