Neal Bresler

Cape Town, Western Cape

I started in the Card Authorisation and VAS Processing industry in 1997. Intially focussed on the support aspects of the Postilion product suite before becoming involved in training and implementation aspects.

In 2004 I formed and became the Operations Manager for Stanchion EPS. I drove the development of both software products and operational processes to support enterpise transactional processing systems.

In 2007, together with my new partners, we formed Transaction Junction as an independant third party switch. Here I retained responsibility for the daily functioning of operational systems and underlying support processes.

Notable projects in that time period include:

  1. Infrastructual design, including hardware, software and networks for a 3rd party switch
  2. Integration and certification to all major banks in SA
  3. Major upgrade of live Postilion Realtime system
  4. PCI DSS certification of our production environment
  5. Migration to a full virtual processing environment
  6. Implementation of a comprehensive monitoring, alerting and workflow automation tools
  7. Implementation of a Level 1 support Contact Center
  8. Impelmentation of a comprehensive Service Delivery Management Dashboard across the Realtime, Back Office and Support funcitons

Today I supervise a team that manages a complex Transactional and Back Office processing environment that includes in excess of 2 dozen clients and suppliers and processes many 10s of millions of transactions per month.

When not tinkering with technology I love toclear my head doing trail running. I have completed a few seasons of Cape Winter & Summer Trail Series. The highlight was completeing, barely, the Two Oceans Trail 2013.
