Neale Hall

Neale Hall, with over 18 years experience in digital television industry, has been part of some of the more strategic and significant developments of the companies he has worked with. He completed his Ph.D at University College North Wales in 1993. Following a period of post-doctoral research he began work at Pace Micro Technology in March of 1996. After gaining significant experience in developing satellite, terrestrial and cable products he was seconded to the Pace Americas to set up and run the company’s first hardware and software development projects in the USA. Following his success and return from Pace Americas, he joined the EchoStar Europe development offices in 2003 where, during a career of 10 years, he progressed to the role of Software Engineering Group Manager and gained Chartered Engineer status. At EchoStar, he headed up an international software team in the UK, Netherlands and the Ukraine. Significantly he was a key part in the set up and education of the Ukraine office, overseeing the initial employment, education and management of the 65 strong local software engineer team. Later, Neale joined Pixsan Digital Software Ltd at the start of 2014 in the role of COO to provide additional leadership and management, where he now oversees operational matters and software development. Neale also sits on the industrial advisory board of the University of Leeds Computing department.
