Neeni-tuti, as she is widely known to industry insiders, is a talented choreographer, an experienced drum & dance instructor, musical composer, and a veteran performer. As well as having recently completed her training in ZUMBA® and ZUMBATOMIC® (for Kids!), neeni has also completed a group exercise instructor course, has 25 years of formal dance training in Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Contemporary Theatrical performance recognised and assessed by the Australian Academy of Dance, and studied traditional West African drumming and dance with master teachers from Guinea and Senegal for 12 years! In 1999 Neeni founded her own drum and dance company - AFROBEAT, and has since designed her popular interactive drumming show DRUMS TALK!, instructed individuals and groups in West African drumming and dance technique, facilitated drumming circles with diverse audiences throughout Australia and Indonesia, performed alongside some of Australia’s most renowned African, Samba and Latin Bands, made a guest appearance on ABC’s ‘Strictly Dancing’, and featured on Channel 10’s ‘Totally Wild’ teaching her youth percussion group. The only female ‘African style’ percussionist to be endorsed by Billy Hydes Drumcraft (Australia’s largest retailer of percussion) neeni was sponsored to study the art of DRUM CIRCLE Facilitation with leading exponent and world renowned 'father of the modern facilitated drum circle movement' - Arthur Hull (California, USA). While currently based in Indonesia, Neeni continues to operate AFROBEAT Australia, offer her unique Drum Circle Facilitator/Instructor Training Programs, and collaborate with Afrobeat, African and Reggae Artists in Australia and Indonesia! An excited entreprenuer and designer, Neeni is already developing another business (outside the Drumming World!)
