Neil Mitchell

In 2018, Neil Mitchell decided to take his 25 plus years of experience in insurance broking and risk management with Marsh Canada and step into the realm of entrepreneurship.

A two-time Ironman finisher and avid cyclist, he combined his love of athletics with his decades of experience in risk management and insurance broking to become both co-founder and an early-stage and Series A investor in Player’s Health, which provides risk management services and insurance solutions to athletes and sports organizations.

While at Player’s Health Mitchell served as an Advisor, Executive Officer Board Member and President of Risk Services and Insurance Solutions. Although no longer involved in the operations of Player’s Health his involvement continues as an active and passionate advocate, investor and shareholder in Player’s Health.

Mitchell continues to invest and advise early and emerging stage businesses. His current advisory roles include: Curbo.io, ProPlayAI and MyAbilities Technologies.

During his tenure with Marsh Canada (1991 – 2017), he served in many client facing, management and leadership roles including being a member of the company’s National Executive & Management Committee and the National Practice Leader for Marsh Canada’s Consumer & Commercial Practice. While in these roles his responsibilities included; business strategy, business development, client management, program/product development, retail and third-party distribution.

An Ironman Canada and Ironman USA finisher, Neil has also combined his love of cycling with philanthropic endeavors such as the Ride for Mental Health and the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride - Coast to Coast Ride Against Cancer Foundation.
