Neil Alexander

Neil Alexander is an award winning Jazz Pianist Synthesist and composer who has been writing, arranging & performing for more than 35 years. In 2013 he released his first solo piano CD titled "Darn That Dream: Solo Piano Vol. 1". It was a critical success. Previously he released “Tugging At The Infinite” (2007), his 4th CD as bandleader with his contemporary electric/acoustic jazz ensemble “NAIL”. Both a performer and a producer, he has composed more than 200 works for small ensembles. In addition to performing & composing, Neil teaches Master Classes at high school and college level in modern music technologies, produces concerts in both small venues and large outdoor settings, and does sound design and music concrete. He has composed for independent films and is musical director for Modern Dance and Alternative Theater companies, plays with a variety of other ensembles such as the "Mahavishnu Project" and The Peter Furlan Sextet. Neil also performs solo acoustically and/or electronically, and just completed a solo piano concert series titled "100 Years Of Spring", celebrating the centennial of Stravinsky's "Rite Of Spring" with a stunning solo piano arrangement.
