As managing director of Potomac Management in Washington, D.C., Neil Alpert leverages two decades of capital-raising experience to provide advisory and management services to families across multiple continents. He has served in this capacity since 2015, prior to which he was president and CEO of LaserLock Technologies. Neil Alpert was hired by the anti-counterfeiting technologies company to raise sufficient money for recapitalization. He was successful in the effort, which ultimately enabled LaserLock’s acquisition to become VerifyMe, a NASDAQ listed company. He joined the company first as President & COO and then as CEO.
Prior to this, Neil Alpert acted as special assistant to the chairman of the Republican National Committee. His responsibilities in this capacity included securing funding and overhauling lagging programs. Earlier in his career, he completed various fundraising initiatives.
Mr. Alpert has additional senior finance leadership experience with AIPAC, the Washington National Opera, and the American Red Cross. He began his career in 2000 as a development manager with the American Cancer Society, where he organized community fundraising events including Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Relay for Life. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Rhode Island and is an advisory board member for the Institute of World Politics. Mr. Alpert was also appointed by the President of the United States to serve on the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, the only executive council that examines cross-sector critical infrastructure security and resilience issues and provides recommendations to the President on how to secure the nation’s infrastructure.
