Neil Carhart

I am a Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol.

My current research concerns the application of systems approaches to the built environment. This includes understanding and modelling infrastructure interdependency and investigating new approaches to safety within high-hazard industries.

My previous research was into the use of Systems Theory to improve the safety and reliability of Nuclear Power Stations. This included developing the use of Causal Loop Diagrams and System Dynamics within the industry as a way of investigating and learning from events.
