Neil Jensen

London, Hitchin, Europe

I am an experienced corporate writer based in the City of London. I work for a leading investment bank, providing a broad range of content for both print and online media. I produce news, features, marketing copy and speeches. Real-time reporting at major events, working to a tight deadline and under pressure, is a particular strength – so I am told! I build trust with my clients and pride myself on never misquoting an individual.

In my spare time, I also like to write, mainly about the arts, history and football. I have written for around 35 publications over the past 20 years and have also worked for the BBC and SKY Sports. In my teens, I wrote seven novellas about a secret agent and since then, have had two books published on football.

My areas of expertise, apart from international banking, are European football, social history from the inter-war years (1920-1939), the Weimar Republic and 1970s rock music.

Claims to fame? I saw Marlene Dietrich in 1971, met two members of the England 1966 World Cup team and outsold all other [more celebrated] authors in Hitchin, Herts in 1995.
