A geologist for Tetra Tech, Neil Joseph Babb holds a field camp degree in geology from the University of Missouri, which allowed him to go on to earn his BS in geology at Wayne State University. After completing his bachelor’s degree, Neil Joseph Babb found employment in the southwest region of the country where he obtained his Geologist-in-Training certification. He also holds additional licenses and certifications including construction quality assurance (CQA) Inspection, S.C.E.D.S. Competent Person Trench Excavation Safety, OSHA 40-hr Hazwoper, and MSHA 24-hr surface miner.

In addition to his work with Tetra Tech, Joseph Neil Babb has held positions with companies such as Terracon and Hydro Geo Chem, Inc., where his work included environmental and remedial investigative research, drilling and well installation oversight, and CQA inspection of municipal landfill closures and new landfill cell constructions. While at Hydro Geo Chem, he also penned an award-winning letter which helped a senior geologist earn the 2013 Arizona Damage and Safety Ambassador award.

When he is not busy with work, he enjoys working on his property, participating on the Captain's Friday Night Sport Show as a crew member on (www.blogtalkradio.com/thecapt), playing sports and watching college and professional sports games. Some of his favorite professional teams are the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Lions, and the Arizona Cardinals. An avid traveler due to work and play, his favorite areas are where he has spent time are the Pacific Northwest, southwest and the upper Midwest regions.
