Philosophy
I believe that every person has the right and the responsibility to choose their own path, and I'm dedicated to supporting my clients' choices. For over 35 years, I have helped clients clarify and pursue what they need and want in life, and to navigate their lives with love and freedom.

I seek to draw out the best in each person I counsel through unconditional acceptance and support of their self-discovery. My greatest joy is helping clients to identify and use their own emotional and mental resources in order to adapt to the inevitable changes life brings.

Biography
Neil received a B.A. in Philosophy ('62) and a Master's in Social Work ('68) from Rutgers State University. He continued his post-graduate work in psychology and research, teaching and practicing in public and private agencies before opening his first private practice in New Orleans in 1978. Neil moved to Asheville, NC in 1983 and now practices in nearby Hendersonville, NC.

Today, Neil draws from over 45 years of counseling and teaching experience. In his free time, he serves on the vestry of his church and enjoys music, motorcycling, ham radio, and attending rock concerts with his youngest son.
