Nelson Caetano

Nelson Caetano is a Toronto based illustrator and teacher who has returned to illustrating comics after a twenty year absence and who is venturing into his first foray in writing. In his absence, he has never lost his passion for comics, and shares this passion with his two sons, as well as, with his students. “That Little BIG Girl” is a story about Megan, a young scientist, who suffers a laboratory accident that changes her – just like our favourite silver-aged superheroes. The accident brings upon unique gifts and challenges. As Megan deals with her new size changing abilities, she remains ever confident with her body image. Through positive representation, Megan and her cast of friends will be a part of change in an industry whose mainstream comics lack body positive and diverse characters.
