Born in Portland, and a graduate (with honors) of the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism and Communication, Sharleen has edited more than 100 books and written hundreds of magazine and newspaper articles on a huge range of topics. She has also served as an editor on a number of magazines in the travel, entertainment, education, science, and technology fields. An award-winning photographer, as well as an accomplished author, Sharleen has a passion for words and an appreciation for the rich cadence of good storytelling mixed with a vigorous obsession for good grammar and a keen interest in the history of the Northwest.
