David Bernstein is a Brooklyn-based writer. After majoring in Politics at Oberlin College he began working in a kitchen and discovered his destiny as a cynical, liberal, anxious, New York Jew. In 2009, he began writing and performing comedy for the theater because it cost less than therapy. So far things are working out, and he is much happier than his headshot appears.

David currently writes for the UCB Maude Team ALAMO and his work has appeared in McSweeney's, The AV Club, and 23/6, among others. He performs stand-up in and around New York.
