Nesamani Maran Muthu is a global business leader, President of MGM Muthu Hotels. and the son of M.G. Muthu, the founder of the MGM Group of Companies. With over 30 years of executive experience, he spearheads the MGM Group’s hospitality division, overseeing a prestigious portfolio of over 50 hotels across eight countries, including Portugal, Kenya, and India. Maran Muthu has gained international acclaim for pioneering work in Cuba, where he led the first Indian chain to manage over 7,000 rooms. Under his visionary leadership, the group launched Cuba’s first LGBTIQ+ resort and Muthu Aviation, an airline enhancing domestic tourism connectivity. Beyond hospitality, he serves as a director for multi-sector subsidiaries ranging from logistics and distilleries to theme parks. He served as the chairman of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank (TMB).
