When I moved from Clover, SC to Denver, CO in 2000 I was a starry-eyed 19-year-old with big dreams. I immediately feel in love with the all-embracing culture of the art community and new that I too wanted to be a professional artist.
In the decade that followed I have not only accomplished that dream but have channeled my professional and personal experiences into a new entrepreneurial mission of creating an arts focused community center.
Currently I am entering my senior year at Winthrop University where I am completing a bachelor's degree in Educational Studies, which I will follow with a master’s in early childhood education.
My years of experience in the art community, as well as my time educating young children, have taught me the effect that art can have on our mental health, emotional wellbeing, and sense of self. It is my goal to create a diverse and inclusive community space in which everyone may feel acceptance, explore creative avenues, and find new outlets of expression.
