It all began with me being born.
Allow me to explain:
When I was born, I was born to write. I say this because I literally cannot remember the moment that sparked my creativety, that made me want to make up fictional people in fictional places doing their fictional things. I do remember something about Star Wars, though, back when episodes I, II, and III were coming out.
When those started coming out, I was heavily inspired. I wrote my first novel, about this guy who goes off to help the princess of this world where history was the same except the genders of famous people were reversed -- Georgia Washington instead of George Washington, for example. And the format followed Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones plot, especially when they're in the arena tied to the poles. I rippped that scene off completely. It was shit, utter shit, since I wrote it at about 11 or 12. But I had so much fun, that I kept going.
Eventually I realized I could make a career out of it, but have so far done nothing to make that a possibility. Though I have been published in The Percival Review at South Puget Sound Community College. So I guess that's a step in the right direction.
I’ve been doing other things ever since, though. Like school, video games, and considering a career in teaching. But deep down, writing has always been there as a thing to make money off of -- I mean as something that can bring joy and happiness to my life.
