Neville Ferrier
First elected to represent Division 4 in 2004, still holding this position, Neville is a Queensland country man at heart, with farming and business in his blood, with over 50 years of local Banana Shire Experience.
Neville's family first purchased a farm and relocated from Capella to call Dululu home in 1965.
Here on this family farm is where Neville began his working adult like at the age of 15, along side of nightshift duties on the local telephone exchange and shifting spray lines on a neighbouring irrigation farm.
Purchasing his very first truck at the age of 19, Neville had business plans for a carrying company. In 1974 Neville partnered with his parents and purchased the local convenient store and carrying company in Dululu.
Marrying a local Wowan girl in 1976, purchasing a house in Dululu, raising 3 children, Neville and Esmay still calling this house their home to this day.
The Banana Shire holds a great deal of history for Neville and his families. Over the years, Neville has been apart of various committees & clubs, purchased and operated businesses, worked and witnessed farming, mining, contracting and local government first hand.
Neville carries a great deal of passion for the shire's future and hopes to give local families and residents their chance to develop valuable memories, successful futures and a chance to be apart of a valuable history within their communities and families.
