Building mature governance programs is not about checking boxes. It is about creating systems where compliance, security, and operational workflows work together by design.

A 2026 SC Women in Business Award honoree and Army Veteran, I bring a mission-driven, disciplined approach to governance work rooted in accountability and operational integrity. As the founder of GRC Explained, I am also dedicated to making governance, risk, and compliance accessible to career changers and emerging professionals who are ready to break into the field.

Working in governance and process management, I partner with organizations to transform informal practices into structures that can withstand audits, meet regulatory standards, and scale as the business grows. Controls are mapped to frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST, then integrated directly into workflows so compliance becomes part of everyday operations rather than an afterthought.

Grounded in a deep understanding of computer systems and strengthened by advanced study in IT management, I treat every solution as a design challenge. Currently pursuing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence with a focus on how emerging technology reshapes governance frameworks and organizational risk, I bring a forward-looking perspective to every engagement.

The goal is to help organizations build governance cultures that are practical, measurable, and sustainable. Outside of project work, time is spent exploring neuroscience, cognitive performance, and human–computer interaction to better understand how people engage with technology.

I share insights on IT governance, process transformation, AI governance, and career growth in GRC. Let's connect and create systems that last.
