Newman is a veteran internationalist from the music and media industries, who has been managing across cultures between 15 different countries and three continents since the mid-90s.

His consultancy leverages on his industry experience in: brands & music partnerships; live music & festivals; digital & traditional distribution; marketing & publicity; licensing & copyrights, and is built on expertise developed from his cross-sector, cross-functional managerial roles held at two Fortune 500 companies and two entrepreneurial start-ups.

On top of his works in the independent sector, his corporate experience was respectively as senior manager at News Corporation's youth television network in Asia; marketing manager at Universal Music Group for its Asia Pacific region.
Academically he studied Master of Arts in music business management at University of Westminster, London; marketing at University of California, Berkeley; strategy & leadership at Edinburgh Napier University.
