Katherine Newman

I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2011 with a Bachelor degree of Business Administration in Management. While attending UGA I had multiple sales and marketing internships and volunteer opportunities that allowed me to gain hands on experience. I am currently an assistant underwriter for a property brokerage insurance group where I have been entrusted with many important responsibilities that is vital to the company's success. My past experiences have taught me how to stay competitive in the current market as well as develop and sustain customer relationships. Through it all I have tried to balance work and my love for sports. Keeping up with football and road racing have both been a passion of mine since I was 13 years old. I recently took up triathlon training last year and my goal is to complete the Augusta Half Ironman by next year. I find competing in these sports keeps me focused and motivated in all aspects of my life. I am happy to have had real world business experience and would love to finally put these skills towards my passion for sports.
