New Reel FIlms is a project by Gillian McIver and Rozy Sarkis to present and promote new documentary films. They have produced IMAGE MATTERS (2012) dir Rozy Sarkis and TAKING VOER THE KING'S LAND (2013) dir Gillian McIver

Gillian is a Canadian film maker; she studied film in London at University of Westminster, following studies in history and extensive travel and invovement in underground music and art activities. She went on to co-found site-specific art and fim collective Luna Nera. For over ten years Luna Nera travelled worldwide making large scale site specific projects. In 2009 she directed the Luna Nera experimental documentary Postindustrial Baroque, and in 2010 produced the short documentary Tarkovsky's River. Gillian works as a film maker, video artist, lecturer and consultant.

Rozy is a Lebanese-Cypriot film maker and graduate of London College of Communication, University of the Arts. She has specialized in creative media projects since 2004, including award-winning feature film ’Tangled Up in Blue’ by Haider Rashid and documentary short ‘The Newspaper House‘ by Sumer Erek featured on The Guardian.

Before 2004 she collaborated on video art projects including ‘Garcia Lorca esta Vivo?’ a film by award-winning Dutch filmmaker Eef De Graaf which was selected for the Museum of Modern Art, Warsaw and Film festival Cannes-Short film Corner.
