Since the opening of the Sebring Practice in 2001, Newsom Eye has drastically raised the standard for eye care in Highlands County and Central Florida. Not only was Newsom Eye one of the first practices in the area to offer refractive surgery; it is also the first practice to offer premium intraocular lens implants for cataract surgery patients. In addition, Newsom Eye is the first and only practice in Highlands County to offer LASIK eye surgery. The Sebring location established a firm foundation for the future of Newsom Eye, which led to the need for expansion to Tampa.
