John Ngatia is an entrepreneur, researcher and aspiring project manager. John took his undergraduate at the University of Nairobi, Kenya, earning a Bachelor of Commerce Management Science degree. John also holds a Master of Science Energy Management degree from the Nord University in Bodø, Norway. During the course of graduate studies in Norway, John took an exchange semester at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and wrote his graduate thesis at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. John is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in project management at Durham College, Oshawa, Ontario.
John ventured into business straight after completing his undergraduate degree. He started a small-scale greenhouse farming project at home. He has also owned a grocery store and a restaurant.
John has worked in various sectors of the economy, having done an internship at Accesskenya, a leading internet service provider in Kenya, as well as an internship at UNICEF East and Southern Africa Regional Office (ESARO) in Gigiri, Nairobi. He worked as a contract compliance officer at the Insurance Regulatory Authority in Nairobi, Kenya.
John's interests range from entrepreneurship to travel. John is also interested in education, research and volunteering.
